Students were asked to explore one principle of design (I chose Balance), and visually communicate a word through a graphic work, consisting of three images. My selected word was 'Floating'. Also, our colour palette was restricted to black, white, and greys and a specific shade of yellow (R: 255, G:215, B:0). No gradients were allowed either. My work aims to replicate the look of water, through the rippling of colour and shapes. I also tried to play with different shapes in each image, from rectangles to circles to triangles. This project was completed as part of a first year media course.
